After a not so great start to the Galaxy Fold campaign, the company went back to the drawing board to resolve the issues that plagued the first batch of devices that were shipped out to consumers.  Multiple devices began to break and experience major display related issues after only a few days. One of the main design flaws was in relation to the protective screen layer. This layer was exposed and looked as though it was a removable screen protector, which if removed would actually damage the screen.  This issue was supposedly corrected by allowing this protective layer to flow into the frame of the device, making it impossible to peel off by hand. Another adjustment they reportedly made to the device is a redesigned hinge to prevent the OLED screen from cracking. It is not yet confirmed when the release date will be for the next Galaxy Fold launch, however, sources believe that it will be in time for the holiday season.
