Apple is moving away from using its mobile operating system iOS for their iPad devices.  Instead, their flagship tablet will be using the new iPadOS. One of the main differences and major features of this new operating system are the widgets that will be available on the home screen next to the apps.  It also provides the Split View functionality, which allow users to use multiple applications side by side. Also, the device will have the capability for file sharing in iCloud Drive, support for external drives (such as USB), local storage, and 30 new keyboard shortcuts. These features included in this new operating system are pushing the tablet further into the realm of providing a traditional desktop experience on the go.
