In response to the current legal situation Huawei is facing because the US government blacklisted them, Huawei has been forced to move away from Google’s mobile OS, Android. Instead of continuing to rely primarily on Google, which is no longer an option for the foreseeable future, they might be launching their very own mobile OS. The company does not want to go down this route, but due to the unfortunate circumstances, if they end up being permanently blacklisted in the U.S. they have to figure out an alternative option. Huawei could possibly implement their new mobile OS by having it pre-installed on their Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro line of devices as early as autumn 2019.
