If you haven’t heard by now, after 18 years of iTunes being the central hub for your music, this application will be going away in the near future. Apple recently announced that iTunes will be split up into three separate applications (Apple Music, Apple TV, and Apple Podcasts) each having its own purpose. So what happens to all the music you have purchased and downloaded? Don’t worry, that will be transferred over from iTunes to Apple Music. What about your Movies and TV shows? You guessed it, those will be transferred over to Apple TV. All of your podcasts you ask? You know exactly where those are going…Apple Podcasts will be their new home. All of these applications will be easy to find in the new macOS Catalina. The iTunes store will also still be available to purchase music, movies, tv shows, etc. from as well.
