Apparently Apple has been working on their very own augmented reality glasses. However, the project was reportedly cancelled after the employee responsible for spearheading the project resigned in January. The entire team working on the project was also disbanded and sent to other teams. Recently, it has surfaced the project was not in fact permanently terminated, but rather temporarily put on hold. It is unclear if Apple will continue working on the project and finish what they started, or if the project will ultimately be abandoned. For right now, there is speculation that the glasses might still be in production and if launched could be released during 2020.
